Kit set-up service

You bought the self-hosting kit. We install it on your own server, check that it works and hand it over.

What you need

How it goes

  1. You create the server and a temporary SSH key, then email us the server address and the public key (never a private key or password).
  2. We install the kit and run its checks.
  3. We send hand-over notes: what is running, where things live, how to update.
  4. You remove our key and rotate your own.

Usually within 2 working days after we have the server address and key.

Email us with the subject already filled in. We reply with a short scope call and a written quote. You pay by card after the scope call, not before.

Frequently asked questions

Which servers do you support?

Ubuntu 22.04 on a fresh VPS with root or sudo access over SSH. Other systems and servers with existing services are out of scope.

Do you keep access to my server?

No. You create a temporary SSH key for us, and after hand-over you remove it. The hand-over notes walk you through it.

Do I need the kit already?

Yes. This service installs the self-hosting kit you bought. Buy the kit first, then order the set-up.

What does the server cost?

The VPS is billed by your hosting provider, in your account. The set-up price covers our time only.

What if something fails during the install?

We stop, tell you what happened and fix it if it is inside the kit. If your provider or network is the cause, we say so and you decide what to do next.
